Change Computer Name using PowerShell in Windows Server 2012

People will love Powershell and today we will see how we can change Computer Name using Powershell in Windows Server 2012.

Nothing extravagate you need to do just you need to open powershell – hope everyone knows that….

Run a command “hostname”

Above command will show up the current computer name

Run a command “Rename-Computer New Computer Name”

After that it will show up a message as you need to take a reboot to be in affect with new name.

Run a command “Restart-Computer” hit enter

And once the Windows Server 2012 is Rebooted and up lets check again name has changed….?
